Noted environmental activist Claude Alvares along with late cardiologist Dr Manjunath Desai, late poet Ashok Naik Tuenkar and late journalist Anant Salkar will be felicitated by the Borim Development Trust on the occasion of the annual, Borim Utsav 2023 on February 12 at 4 pm at SFX Church hall, Betki Borim stated Vasant Parwar, managing trustee, Borim Development Trust. The ceremony will be held in the presence of Daulat Hawaldar (IAS) and Prof BK Mishra, director - IIT Goa. The function besides showcasing the developmental work undertaken by the Borim Development Trust will also throw the spotlight on the creative talent of the Borim village. From 2010, World Borikar Convention (now Borim Development Trust) has instituted Borim Awards in memory of distinguished Borikars.
