Made in Saligao market reopens on Tuesday

PANAJI

The Made in Saligao Tuesday weekly market is to reopen in Saligao, on October 19, after the monsoon and pandemic break. The market, which is barely a year or so old, has attracted a number of visitors, from near and far, due to its unusual mix of handicrafts, traditional foods, art, crochet and related products. It is hosted by the Saligao Institute, a 92-year-old village institution, and attracted villagers of diverse backgrounds -- from those holding post-graduate qualifications and retired bank officials and humble villagers, who sell their products with pride.
