A man was assaulted and bitten by an acquaintance during an altercation below the Cortalim bridge. According to a complaint filed by Omkar Ganachari of Zuarinagar, the incident occurred on July 11 at around 7.30pm, when the accused, identified as Pratik Chari from Vasco, assaulted him and his brother Ashutosh Ganachari with fist blows. Chari is then alleged to have bitten Omkar on his left hand, right forearm, and left upper arm, causing bleeding injuries. Verna police have registered the case under Section 118(1) of the BNS 2023. The investigation is being carried out by PSI Ramchandra Naik under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and overall guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
