The Department of Library and Information Science, GVM’s Dr Dada Vaidya College of Education recently organised a workshop on ‘Effective utilization of MS Office’ for pre-primary teacher training programme trainees.
Prayangi Matonkar, College Librarian, gave the welcome speech.
She spoke about World Computer Literacy Day which is celebrated on December 2 every year. She also spoke about the importance of this day and why it is celebrated.
The workshop was divided into two sessions. First session was on MS Excel and this session was conducted by Sunil M Gauns (Librarian Grade-I). MS Excel session helped teacher trainee in preparing report cards of the students and introduced them with formula and functions. Second session was taken by Prayangi V Matonkar (College Librarian).
She gave insight into the topic of effective utilization of MS Word. This workshop was arranged to enhance the computer skills of the pre-primary teachers and to enable them to effectively use this application software in teaching profession.
