PANAJI: Shree Mallikarjun and Chetan Manju Desai College of Dynan Prabodhini Mandal at Canacona is organising a two-day national seminar on ‘The direction of research in Goan folk literature’ in association with Goa Marathi Academy on March 25 and 26. The seminar will be inaugurated at the hands of environmentalist and researcher of folk literature Rajendra Kerkar. The seminar will be attended by 18 eminent researchers from Maharashtra and Karnataka and present their research papers. A special session on ‘Participation of journalism in the research of Goan folk literature’ will be held on day one of the seminar at 4.30 pm under the coordination of Prof Dr Manoj Kamat. Folk literature researcher Dr Pandurang Phaldesai will preside over the concluding session on day two.
