PANAJI: National Science Day was celebrated in a big way at our St Bartholomew’s High School (Chorao) recently based on the theme of “Save Earth, Save Life”.
Various competitions like poster-making competition, science quiz and science projects and teaching aids competition were planned and well-organised by the science teachers and ably supported by all other teachers and staff.
Dr Sujeetkumar Dongre (Scientist, Blue Flag lndia, Centre for Environment Education, Goa) was the chief guest for the day. In his address, he motivated the students to develop scientific temper given the importance of Science for our national growth and development.
Later, he inaugurated the science exhibition comprising 134 Projects and teaching aids made by the students of Std 1 to 9 and appreciated the evident interest and efforts that the students had put into making these under their teachers’ able guidance.
