MARGAO: Navelim Villagers Union registered a solitary goal victory over Guardian Angel SC and moved to the quarter-finals of the Wilred Leisure trophy, organised by Wilred Leisure Sports Club, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday.
Milroy Clemente of Guardian Angel missed a chance to score in the sixth minutes. It was Nash Pereira of Navelim who netted the match-winner in the 14th minute.
Velington Almeida of Navelim Villagers Union was presented the man-of-the-match award.
