Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Karambir Singh visited Goa Naval Area on Wednesday and Thursday, where he reviewed aircraft maintenance facilities and amenities for personnel.
According to a Navy press note, Admiral Singh was received on his arrival by the Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area and he also interacted with officers, sailors and civilian personnel of the Area.
The CNS lauded the recent successful missile practice firings on a manoeuvrable air target and complimented the officers and men for their professionalism, despite odds due to pandemic. The firings showcased the prowess of Indian Navy in accurate delivery of ordnance on target.
The CNS also discussed the way ahead with respect to future combat exploitation of air assets of the Indian Navy.
The Admiral stressed upon the prevailing security scenario and highlighted the need to be ever-ready to tackle the security threats as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the visit, the CNS was accompanied by the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.
