A special meeting of the members of Association of Christian Backward Classes under Chairmanship of Anthony M D'Souza elected Lency Elston Rodrigues r/o Mandur, Tiswadi as President, Lavina D'souza of Vasco as Vice President, Ivan Rodrigues of St Lawrence, Agassaim as Secretary and Reggio D'Souza of Reis Magos as Treasurer of the Association. Other members of the Committee are Domingos Fernandes, Jefferin Fernandes and Anthony D'souza. It was resolved to revoke all the powers granted by the earlier committee in all respect inclusive of issuing caste certificate to its members and these powers were given to the newly elected President and Vice President of the Association. It was also decided to have membership drive enrolling new members so as to bring awareness among Christian OBCs. Association shall take step to peruse pending applications for inclusion before State Commission for Backward Classes.
