Newly elected Kumta BJP MLA Dinakar Shetty credited Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar for his victory and felicitated him in Kumta on Saturday. Addressing his supporters and the BJP block members at a felicitation programme in Kumta, a jubilant Shetty said Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar had won the hearts of people and went on to claim that 50 per cent of the credit for his victory goes to Salkar.
The new Kumta BJP MLA felicitated Salkar in the presence of the Kumta BJP mandal president, BJP members, karyakartas and a large number of local residents.
Salkar, who was the “Pravasi Prabhari”, had been given the responsibility of the Kumta assembly constituency and had been campaigning in Kumta along with BJP Candidate Dinakar Shetty for several days at a stretch.
