MARGAO: Our Lady of Fatima Boys, Baida-Chinchinim scored a convincing 7-6 win over The Dragon Boys, Borda-Margao via the tie-breaker to enter the quarters of 4th all Goa inter-village open football tournament, organised by Davorlim Sports And Cultural Club, at Davorlim club ground, Laymati, on Wednesday.
The match started on a fast pace and Chinchinnim scored through the boots of Delmon Rebello with a header in 10th minute while Aliston Rebello increased the lead for Chinchinim in the 20th minute with a powerful shot. Before half time, Dragon Boys Borda pulled one goal back through Renzil Barreto.
In second session Dragon Boys scored two quick goals through Stewart in 35th and 39th minutes and Baida Chinchinim found the equaliser through Sangmond Rebello with a volley in the 55th minute and made way for a penalty shoot to decide the winner.
In resultant tie-breaker, Our Lady of Fatima Boys Baida-Chinchinnim proved to be better shooters.
