MARGAO: Navelim Veterans edged past Football Mogi 3-2 and moved to the quarters of the 20th all-Goa veteran football tournament, organised by Flame of Unity Sports Club, at Mabai ground Per-Seraulim on Wednesday.
Navelim opened the score line through Claudio Dias in the ninth minute. Navelim further inflated the lead through Claudio Dias in the 20th minute. Ten minutes later, Caji Santiago too recorded his name on the scoresheet and made it 3-0 for Navelim in the 25th minute with a long range shot. Football Mogi scored in the second half through Elric Gomes and Carmo Lazarus in the 46th and 50th minutes respectively.
