Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) organised a novel panel discussion on the burning topic of ‘Protecting your digital rights’ highlighting that in this digital age, every activity conducted through electronic devices or communication networks involves DATA, and digital data can be easily transferred. Data privacy is crucial because individuals need to trust that their personal data will be handled with care in order to feel comfortable engaging online. The Cyber Wellness Centre in Goa established by ‘Responsible Netism’ collaborated with GCCI to host the programme, ‘Cyber Safe Goa’ and a panel discussion on ‘My Data, My Rights’ in Panaji on Thursday. Inaugurated by GCCI president Ralph De Souza, chairman of GCCI’s IT committee Milind Prabhu, founder and CEO of Responsible Netism as well as Cyber Wellness Centre Sonali Patankar, co-founder and COO of Responsible Netism and Cyber Wellness Centre, panellists Shivendu Bhushan IPS, SP, Cyber Crime Goa and Digital forensic investigator, founder SC Cyber Solutions Shweta Chawla.
