Fr Cipriano da Silva, Dean of Panjim Deanery and parish priest of St Michael Church, Taleigão, celebrated his 43rd priestly ordination day on April 25 with a thanksgiving Mass. Fr Joephil Dias, asst parish priest and Fr Denrish D’Costa also marked the first anniversary of their ordination. In his homily, Fr Carlisto Coelho, parish priest of Bambolim Shrine, spoke about Fr Cipriano’s contribution to strengthening the spiritual life of the flock in the Lord’s vineyard. On the occasion, a cultural program was staged at the St Michael Parish Community Centre; it consisted of dance by children, a Mando performance, and songs rendered by Marta De Souza and group. Dr Alvarinho Luis specifically composed the Mando highlighting the role played by the pastor for raising the Parish Centre, his spiritual deeds, as well as the steps taken in establishing the Senior Citizen and Women of Hope associations.
