Yuv Sanjeevani Margao has organized rangoli and drawing competitions on the occasion of Dindi festival on November 28. Though this year’s Dindi festival will be celebrated in a modest way, to create the ambience, the Comb area in Margao will be lit with earthen lamps, informed Sharmad Raiturkar of Yuv Sanjeevani Margao in a press conference.Mentioning that Dindi is an important annual festival in Margao, Raiturkar stated that though every year Yuv Sanjeevani organizes various competitions on this occasion, this year, due to corona, the festival will be celebrated in a simplistic manner and there would not by the usual procession. However, there would be lighting of earthen lamps to create the atmosphere of festivity. There would be a drawing competition for the students from std I to IV residing in the Comba area. After registering their names, the participants will be given a drawing and drawing material. The students have to paint the drawing and send its photo to Arnav Rasaikar on WhatsApp (7066901053) by November 28. The judges will decide upon the winners after reviewing the photos. For the rangoli competition, the participant has to draw the rangoli in front of their house on the Dindi day and the jury will judge and announce the winners. Raiturkar has appealed to the people of Margao to participate in large numbers in these two competitions and also light earthen lamps on the day.
