The International Institute of Education and Management (IIEM) has selected retired school headmaster Alberto Fernandes for the Asia Pacific Educationist Award and ‘Certificate of Excellence in Education’ in recognition of his role in the field of education. Fernandes had retired as headmaster from St Anne’s Institute, Agonda, after having served for several years in diocesan schools.
A communique received from IIEM, New Delhi, to this affect has been received by Fernandes intimidating his selection for the twin awards.The award ceremony will be held on October 28 through online mode, as the Covid pandemic has made it impossible for the organisers to organise the function by inviting all awardees on one platform. During the online function, the IIEM will honour educators for their contribution and achievement in the field of education.The trophy and certificate will be sent to Fernandes after the function, states the intimation letter signed by IIEM Secretary General Dr N S N Babu
