MARGAO: Rossman Cruz SC, Nagoa-Verna, got the better of United Boys of Dando, Colva, 7-6 via the tie-breaker and moved to the quarter-finals of the Navelim Villagers Union Trophy, organised by Navelim Villagers Union, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Saturday.
Rossman Cruz scored two quick goals through Salvador Gomes and Andrew John in the 12th and 25th minutes respectively. The Colva side netted through Samson Gomes and Kabir Khan. Liston Gomes made it 3-2 in the 56th minute United Boys. However, Andrew John equalised for Rossman in the 75th minute.In the tie-breaker, Rossman Cruz proved to be the better shooters.
Micheal Cardozo, Panch VP Navelim presented the man of the match award to Rossman Cruz's Andrew John.
