Saraswat Food & Cultural Festival from Feb 7

PANAJI: The Goa Saraswat Samaj will organise the Saraswat Food & Cultural Festival from 7th to 9th February 2025 at the SGPDA Grounds, Fatorda, Margao. The event will provide an opportunity to enjoy traditional Saraswat cuisine and offer a platform for community members to showcase their cultural talents. A key feature of the festival will be the felicitation of meritorious Saraswat students for their academic achievements in 2024. The ceremony will be held on Saturday, 8th February, at 3:30 pm. Students meeting the eligibility criteria can submit their applications online or offline by 15th January 2025.

PANAJI: The Feast of Our Lady of Bethlehem and the Three Wise Men was celebrated at Our Lady of Bethlehem Church, Chandor, on January 6.This year, three young boys dressed as Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar rode horses from Mount Chapel to the church. They were Maverick Emmanuel Antao, son of Mario and Pearl Antao; Joyden Cardozo, son of Onastadio and Aveline Cardozo, from Guirdolim; and Brooklyn D’Costa, son of Joseph and Magret D’Costa, from Guirdolim.
