MARGAO: Elsan D'Souza and substitute Elmer Fernandes helped South Goa United Sports and Culture drub Guardian Angel Sports Club Curchorem 5-1 in the GFA U-13 I league, at SAG Artificial Turf Ground, Fatorda, on Thursday.
South Goa United dominated the game however it was Guardian Angel who rocked the rival citadel in the very second minute when Isaiah Cardozo bulged the net. Unperturbed, South Goa United fired all cylinders as Elsan D'Souza cancelled the lead in the 13th minute. Spurred by the equaliser, South Goa United regained the lead as Elsan D'Souza inflated the tally in the 34th minute. Elmer Fernandes fired home in the 40th minute to register his brace.
