Asturi, the flagship exhibition of the Women’s Wing of GCCI, held recently at Taleigao community hall in association with women’s group Tarang, saw the participation of a variety of local and national brands and 107 stalls.
Competitions like dessert making, painting, akash kandil and diya making, along with cooking competitions kept the visitors busy. Deepali Naik, the Director of Women and Child Development Department, was felicitated for empowering women entrepreneurs and encouraging self-help groups.
“Our exhibition aimed at giving women entrepreneurs and self-help groups a platform to display and market their products and we saw good footfalls on both the days,” said Pallavi Salgaocar, the Chairperson of GCCI’s Women’s Wing, while thanking the stakeholders for collaborating with them for the event.
