PANAJI
A collaborative effort by Shubham Jinn, Sadbhav and Solidarity Forum launched the book ‘An Indian Face of the Christian Faith’ at the All India Mission Seminary in Pilar on July 16. The author of the book Swami Sachidananda Bharati said it is a fruit of 40 years of being a disciple of Christ in a multi-religious setup of India, a gift of love to the nation and a culmination of search. The programme began with the Swamiji's prayer for the world recited by Fr Vitorino Fernandes and the Rector Fr Peter Melo Fernandes welcomed the gathering. The anchor, Dr Rafael Fernandes, introduced the author, followed by the release of Acharyasri’s book ‘An Indian Face Of The Christian Faith’. The author himself led the audience sharing a gist of his mystical experience. A near-death experience at the prime of his life made Swami, then a promising IAF officer, think deeply about life and its purpose. He presents the outlines of the 12 Constituents of the ‘Indian face of the Christian faith’. He said these Constituents, if applied effectively, can become a ‘turning point’ not only in the history of Christianity but also of humanity.
