Every year on January 2, Tiatr Academy of Goa, (TAG) celebrates the Birth Anniversary of late Lucasinho Ribeiro, the ‘Pioneer of Tiatr’. On the occasion TAG will present Lifetime Contribution to Tiatr Award (Non-Commercial) to 5 tiatr personalities for their valuable contribution to Tiatr. ‘Young Achievers Awards’ to two young tiatr personalities will also be presented on this day. This year the (Non-Commercial) awards are being conferred on Antonio Joaquim Simoes, Manual Francisco Xavier Fernandes , Joaquim Fernandes (Jack De Vasco), Rosario E Botelho and Mariano Lourenco Fernandes. Valency Carmeline D’souza and Richard Colaco are the Young Achievers Awardees for the year 2020. The awards will be presented at a specially organised function to be held on January 2 at 3:30 p.m. at the Multipurpose Hall of Directorate of Art & Culture, Patto, Panjim. Besides presenting the awards there will be a Konkani Musical Show which will be presented by Jr. Reagan. Churchill Alemao, MLA of Benaulim Constituency will be the chief guest. Prince Jacob will be the guest of honour. All tiatr lovers are invited to attend the function.
