A lecture ‘Tomazin kardoz hanchya Tiyatr barpavalitale samjik and dharmik jivan’ by Fr Dr Luis Gomes will be held on April 19 at 5.30 pm at the Thomas Stevens Konkani Kendr in Porvorim. This talk is jointly organised by Centre for Study of Mythology and Culture, and Thomas Stevens Konkani Kendr. The talk will be in Konkani. Tomazinho Cardozo, a prominent Konkani literary figure and a noted Goan playwright of the Konkani Tiatro theatre, has been vocal in his portrayal of Goan society on stage in all its intricacies, while also providing a nuanced picture of the Goan Christian community. This lecture is an attempt to study his work with respect to the various facets of religious and cultural life in Goan society, as reflected in his Tiatr.
