Teen killed, cousin hurt in road mishap

A teenager was killed while his cousin was injured in a road mishap at Daddem-Sanvordem on Monday. According  to reports, the accident took place while 18-year-old Akshay Vadar from  Gudemol-Sanvordem was riding a two-wheeler along with his 14-year-old cousin, who was on the pillion collided with a truck. Vadar was killed while his cousin was injured.

Cop drowns in river at Kudnem

BICHOLIMA 44-year-old police head constable drowned in the river at Kudnem late Tuesday evening. According to reports, the incident took place as Sameer Pandurang Gad of Bhinnawado-Kudnem had gone fishing in the river at about 7.30 pm. Some locals who were with him later pulled him out of the river and rushed him to the Sankhali hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
