Veda Thali was elected unopposed as president of the managing committee of the Parent Teacher Association of DMC College, Mapusa.
Chairperson of Mapusa Municipal Council, Shubhangi Vaigankar has been elected as the vice-president, Chandru Govekar as the secretary, Satish Govekar as joint secretary, Paresh Sirsat as joint secretary, Yogeshwar Bhosle as treasurer, Vasanti Morudkar as joint treasurer, while Anand Pednekar, Vinayak Divkar, Rizwan Shaikh, Dr M Shanti, Sailee Velip and Pratik Konkonkar have been elected as members of the managing committee.
Pradip Joshi, the outgoing president of the association, praised the college and its management for its incredible achievements and the curricular and the extracurricular activities organised by it for students’ overall development, which he witnessed during his tenure as the member and then the president of the association. The meritorious students were later felicitated for their academic excellence in the 2021-22 examination.
The counsellor of the college, Marika D’Lima and Sneha Chodankar addressed the parents with regard dealing with their wards at adolescence. In the open session, the parents shared their views and opinions on various academic and non-academic matters pertaining to the college and availed the necessary clarification from the Principal.
