Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte announced the development of a new taxi app specifically designed for local taxi operators who do not wish to join the existing GoaMiles service. This initiative, created through the IT department, allows traditional taxi operators to manage and run the app independently. Khaunte emphasized that the government is providing all possible support to ensure that traditional taxi operators are not disadvantaged. He encouraged them to join the new app, which will also allow them to implement their schemes and utilize additional revenue generated for their benefit. The minister highlighted the importance of transparency in their work, stating that this is all he expects from the operators as they transition to using the new platform.
