The Goa Institute of Public Administration and rural development (GIPARD) has organised training programme for Panchayats on People's Plan Campaign (PPC) of Participatory Planning for Gram Panchayat Development Plan GPDP for 2022-23. The training will be held on September 27 morning at GIPARD Ella Old Goa.
This training is for Tiswadi panchayats. The Village development Committees convenor, Sarpanch and Secretary of all Village Panchayats of Tiswadi Taluka will attend the training. After the training of Tiswadi Panchayas which is the first program in North Goa District it will be followed by training programs for Bicholim, Sattari, Pernem and finally Bardez Talukas.The Gram Panchayats have been mandated to prepare a gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for economic development and social justice utilising resources available with them.
The village Development committee is a crucial body in developing GPDP. The cleaning of drains tanks, wellls, spring, roads, other public places, bus stops, markets and crematorium, tackling of garbage issue are to be planned by Village development committees.
