Celebrating Van Mahotsav at Vidyanagar in Margao, and creating an awareness towards preserving forests and growing more trees, the employees at Ulhas Jewellers planted fruit bearing saplings on June 1. Speaking on this occasion the managing director at Ulhas Jewellers Vikarm Verlekar highlighted the importance of conserving and preserving Goan ecosystem. “Progress has to go hand in hand with conserving our resources. It is each Goan’s duty to protect our environment and plant as many trees as possible so that our future generations can have a much greener Goa,” he said. To further this cause customers were gifted with plants at the showrooms in Margao and were encouraged to plant trees. Believing in sustainable development the Verlekars have been regularly contributing to preserve Goan heritage, culture and ecosystem.
