A man snatched a gold chain worth Rs 50,000 from a woman while she was walking by the side of the road at Arpora, Anjuna Police said. According to Police, the incident took place on Tuesday evening at around 5 pm near the Pizza Hut Arpora. The complainant, Renuka Lamani (35), a resident of Arpora stated that an unknown male person on an orange coloured scooter and wearing a black coloured jacket and long pants snatched her gold chain weighing 10 grams from her neck while she was walking by the side of the road. Sources informed that the accused has been captured on CCTV camera riding a scooter.Police have registered an offence under section 356 and 379 of the IPC against an unknown person. The search is on to nab the accused, police said. ASI Tukaram Pednekar is investigating under the supervision of PI Suraj Gawas.
