PANAJI: South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) organised a rally to commemorate “World No Tobacco Day” on Tuesday at Margao. The programme was attended by Chairman of Margao Municipal Council Lyndon Pereira, Medical superintendent of SGDH Dr Deepa Correia, District Nodal Officer NTCP Dr Sara George and Extension Educator Vishal Gaonkar. A talk was delivered on the threat posed by tobacco to the environment and a street play was performed to increase awareness. The rally was flagged off from SGDH and proceeded towards SGPDA Market Margao.
