Stating that Gomutra (cow urine) is a panacea to most illness, Paresh Raikar of Manavseva Pratishthan called upon Goans to protect cows.
MAPUSArr“Presently, beef is the hot topic of discussion in the country. People should avoid giving political or religious overtones to the issue. Cow provides a lot of benefits and therefore every Indian belonging to any religion has a right to protect it,” Raikar, President of of Manavseva Pratishthan said. rParesh Raikar, who recently unsuccessfully contested as a candidate of Goa Suraksha Manch in Siolim, was extolling the virtues of cow urine while addressing a news conference of Manavseva Pratishthan in Mapusa on Thursday evening. rParvani Vernekar, Nilesh Sangodkar and Pritesh Desai, the officer bearers of Manavseva Pratishthan, were also present. rSpeaking further, he said from constipation to arthrithis, kidney problems to skin disease, medicines made of cow urine offered cure to nearly everything. r“It’s very effective. We will have a separate lecture of longer duration where we will explain in detail about the efficacy of cow urine,” Raikar said. rHe further said a local cow provided 85 percent more nutrients than a Jersey cow. rRaikar said he began to understand the effectiveness of the cow urine three years ago and offered free consultancy to people who flock to his door for advice. r“Many people seek advice on different illness. I don’t charge them,” he said. rWhen questioned about the scientific background on his claims, he said the products were based on the “science” of Ayurveda.
