PANAJI: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar denied reports that the government would consider banning the movie ‘Padmavat' in the state citing law and order problems and has instead said that if the film receives a censor certificate he would have no problem in having it screened.

"As of now, we haven't received any intimation about the film being released. Let us see the censor certificate. Even if it comes with some modification, I do not see a big reason why we should interfere with it," Parrikar said.
"I am awaiting police feedback. This feedback will come to me. The day the movie is cleared, I will take feedback again and then decide. I do not think it is a big issue. I will go as per legal provisions," Parrikar said.
