Two bovines were killed while three seriously injured after a speeding jeep rammed a herd of stray cattle on Siolim bridge at midnight on Monday.

The jeep was driven by a Russian national Yegor Privalon (37) presently residing at Morjim.

Commuters have been continuously complaining against livestock sitting on roads mainly during rainy season leading to fatal accidents, injuring both strays and driver.

Soon after getting information, Anjuna police rushed to the site and cleared the road for traffic. A case has been booked against the Russian.
