CANACONA
In a second session of Covid vaccination, 78 more healthcare staff and workers were vaccinated with ‘Covishield’ vaccine at CHC, Canacona on Tuesday.
“The target was 100, but most of the doctors, nurses, paramedics staff and anganwadi workers got vaccinated on Tuesday,” informed Canacona acting Health Officer Dr Jose Tavares.
Stating that ‘vaccine is very much safe’, Tavares informed there is another session on February 5, and further appealed to the remaining healthcare staff to come and get immunised.
It may be recalled that only 41 of the strong healthcare force in Canacona got themselves vaccinated with the ‘Covishied’ vaccine in the first session held on January 23.
According to Health sources, there are still more than 25 healthcare staff yet to visit to avail the Covid vaccination and yet another ‘Covishield’ vaccination session is scheduled on February 5.
