Another Cong minority leader quits

MARGAO
The Congress party has been hit by yet another resignation by a member of the Muslim community.

On Wednesday, Sheibaaz Sheikh tendered his resignation from the post of South Goa Minority General Secretary. He has also quit from the primary membership of the party.

In his resignation letter addressed to GPCC Chief Girish Chodankar, Sheibaaz said he has taken the decision as he does not see any hope for the young brigade in the party as senior leaders were still greedy for power and positions. He also said senior leaders are tearing the party apart because of their fights.

Sheibaaz is the third person from the minority community after Urfan Mulla and Riyaz Sheikh to quit from his position as well as from the primary membership of the Congress. Urfan Mulla has since joined the ruling BJP.
