CM urges youth to explore avenues in IT sector

The Government intends to encourage IT start up in Goa and the Goan youth to strive to explore avenues of opportunity in this sector, said Chief Minister Pramod Sawant who was speaking at Secretariat after disbursing incentives to three IT Companies on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister speaking further said government under Start Up India scheme has formulated and implemented various schemes for promoting IT Start Up where in more and more Goan youth should avail benefit of these schemes. He also suggested that youth who intend to initiate Start up can communicate with IT cell.
The Chief Minister also said that we were waiting for initiating projects in EMC at Tuyem which were pursued by local MLA and three plots were allocated to three firms. He urged them to start their ventures as early as possible. He complimented IT Minister Jennifer Monserrate and her entire team for their endeavour
Minister for IT urged Goan youth to strive to venture into the IT sector for which the Government worked out schemes. "We wish to move forward in the IT sector and it is our endeavour to make Goa a conducive place for the IT sector in the country," Monserrate said.
The State Government has approved Rs 25.3 lakh as incentive to three IT companies Out of which 19.3 lakh were disbursed among three companies. The Transerve Technologies received Rs.4.5 lakh, Inbetween Software Development Rs10.3 lakh while Online Productivity Solutions received Rs 4.5 lakh. The remaining amount of Rs 6 lakh will be disbursed to Online Productivity Solutions in two tranches, subject to evolution of at the end of each instalment period. The Chief Minister handed over cheques of incentives to the beneficiaries.
Chief Secretary ; Secretary, Revenue Sanjay Kumar IAS; Director Department of Information & Technology Ankita Anand IAS and staff of the Department were among those who were present on the occasion.
