BJP Goa incharge Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday hinted that former chief minister and Poriem MLA Pratapsing Rane is likely to join BJP, which would leave the Congress with just two legislators in the Assembly.
"Presently, only three MLAs are left with the Congress so we can call it a ‘rickshaw’ party. Soon with the blessings of Pratapsing Rane, the party will be reduced to only two MLAs and the Congress will be reduced to a ‘cycle’ party,” said Fadnavis, while speaking during the induction of former chief minister Ravi Naik into the BJP.
Fadnavis said the situation of Congress was no different in the nation as well.
“Since the last two years, the Congress has not decided about its national president. They can’t decide whether Rahul, Sonia, Priyanka or another person will become president of the party,” taunted Fadnavis.
He said leaders have got to know that there is no future with the Congress and that, only BJP could provide development in the country.
“We are happy that a leader working for Bahujan community since the last 50 years has joined BJP,” added Fadnavis.
