MAPUSA

Insisting that Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia offered to those who lost a family member to Covid is a contribution from the Goa government, Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant said the same families can claim similar aid offered by the central government.

“Whatever the central government has announced and those who qualify for the same will get it from the Centre. It will be in addition to the Rs 2 lakh which is offered by the Goa government,” Sawant said.

He appealed to everyone not to fall into the trap of some ill-informed people who are spreading wrong information.

He further stated that the State government will offer all help so that people can claim the financial aid offered by the central government.

The CM also informed that except for those who are entitled for the Griha Adhar and DSS schemes, whose one month payment was pending, all other beneficiaries have received their cash dole.
