Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai extended his heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the people on the occasion of Ram Navami.In his message the Governor said, "Ram Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birthday of Rama, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Ram Navami signifies the arrival of divine power on the earth. A celebration of Ram Navami festival indicates the removal of negativity and establishment of Dharma. Lord Rama was a person of embodiment of compassion, gentleness, kindness, righteousness and integrity who displayed perfect moral as well as social behaviour. He was an ideal son, an ideal husband and an ideal king."
"He is a symbol of the victory of right over evil. Lord Rama characterises how a man should fulfil his moral commitments. He was also called “Maryada Purushottam”. His reign in Ayodhya is referred to as “Ramrajya” an epitome of perfect governance, worthy of emulation."
Further, the Governor said, "on this auspicious occasion of Rama Navami, let us try to bring the good personality aspects of Lord Rama into our life. Lord Rama is a symbol of faith; his ideal character inspires us to move forward in life without any selfish motives."
"May the celebration of Ram Navami this year bring renewed peace, joy, happiness and prosperity to one and all," he concluded.
