Power outages and damage to electrical alignments were reported at many places in Sattari, following thunder showers and strong winds on Thursday evening which disrupted normal life in the taluka.
A failure at the Valpoi sub-station led to the disruption of power supply in many villages of Sattari taluka till late night. Power supply was also interrupted when electricity wires fell on the road near the Valpoi Goshala.
Electricity teams were working on war footing to eliminate the fault and restore power supply.
