Leader of the Opposition Digambar Kamat left the members of the Legislative Assembly speechless when he rose to deliver his “farewell speech”.
While thanking all and sundry for being part of the journey, Kamat prayed all the legislators to win and return to the Assembly post-elections. “I hope to see all of you back once again”, he stated while thanking the members of the Opposition and the treasury benches.
He said while clashing with the government on issues, it was the sole responsibility that was being discharged as people’s representatives and there were no personal scores to settle. Kamat also acknowledged the 50th year of senior legislator Pratapsing Rane and hoped that he continues his journey and sets a national record for being the longest-serving people’s representative.
Earlier, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant thanked his colleagues and the Opposition members for playing their part in the Legislative Assembly.
