The South Goa Sessions Court on Thursday held guilty a native of Nepal on charges of murder of a native of Himachal Pradesh at Canacona some years ago.
After holding the accused guilty of the charges of murder, Additional Sessions Judge, Vincent D’Silva has adjourned the matter to Saturday on the point of sentence.
Then Canacona Police station in-charge, PI Rajendra Prabhudesai informed that the incident had occurred at a shack when the accused, who was working as a waiter hit the deceased with a wooden rafter resulting in his death. He recalled that the police had shifted the injured worker to the Hospicio but he breathed his last.
The accused, who was trying to flee away from the state, was later nabbed at the Canacona railway station, he added. The accused had killed his co-worker as he was in need of money.
