Colva police rushed to Pedda-Benaulim late on Monday evening after locals alleged that a person had thrown some suspicious items into a well.
According to sources, the locals noticed the individual’s suspicious activity and questioned him. Unsatisfied with his explanation, they alerted the Colva police.
A team from the Colva police arrived at the spot and used torchlights to assess the nature of the items allegedly thrown into the well. The police are examining the situation and will decide on Tuesday whether the well water needs to be pumped out as a precautionary measure.
