The prominent restaurant 'Hotel Ritz Classic' in Panaji was sealed by the North Goa collector on Thursday, after a large number of Covid cases were reported from visitors to the restaurant.
In an order on Thursday, North Goa Collector Ajit Roy said he had been informed by the Panaji Urban Health Centre (UHC) that "a large number of Covid cases have been reported from visitors to one restaurant and there is a need to seal the entire premises of Hotel Ritz Classic..."
The order states that the Tiswadi sub-divisional magistrate shall be overall-in-charge to seal the premises and to maintain law and order.
