The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) on Thursday conducted 14 Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings to consider the promotion of various officials across different departments including the elevation of nine officials to the position of Junior Scale Officers (JSO).
“Nine officials are promoted to the position of JSO in the Personnel Department while four officials are promoted to the position of Executive Engineers in the Public Works Department. Another official is promoted to the position of Chief Chemist in the PWD, and another to the position of Assistant Director of Transport in the Transport Department,” GPSC Chairman Jose Manuel Noronha, who chaired the meeting, said.
He further stated that the probation period of 50 officers was lifted in the Directorate of Accounts while the probation period was lifted and services were confirmed of a number of officials in the Directorate of Archives, Dental College and Department of Legal Metrology.
Besides the chairman, the Committee has its members -- the Chief Secretary and the concerned administrative secretary.
