The town and country planning (TCP) Board has approved the draft GIS based zoning plan for Pernem taluka and the same has been kept open for public suggestions and objections for a period of two months.
The draft plan has been prepared by a private consultant M/s Sky Group, who is one amongst those empanelled consultants for preparation of taluka-level zoning plans.
“The Goa Town and Country Planning Board has approved the said draft GIS based Zoning Plan for Pernem Taluka as prepared by the Consultant. The draft plan is now notified and kept for inspection by the general public,” Chief town planner Rajesh Naik said in the notification issued.
The department has urged the public to submit their suggestions and objections, if any within two months, for consideration before finalization of the plan.
Meanwhile, the department has further amended the Goa Land Development and Building Construction (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 wherein 10 per cent coverage requirement to build a farmhouse in the agriculture zone has been removed.
As per the modification, the maximum built-up area permissible for farmhouses irrespective of the area of the plot will be 1,000 sq metres only henceforth.
