In a bid to ensure proper road markings, the Public Works Department (PWD) has temporarily switched off traffic signals at key PWD junction at Peddem.

The move comes following directions from Executive Engineer (NH) Jude Carvalho.

“I have directed to put the traffic signals off until all road markings are completed. The work will be finished within the next 48 hours, after which the signals will be re-commissioned on a trial basis,” Carvalho said.

The initiative aims to enhance road safety and ensure clear lane demarcations for smoother traffic movement.
