The State government has informed the high court that drinking water problems at Dhatwada in Pissurlem-Sattari will be resolved by April 10.
The government stated this in an affidavit submitted to the high court when the matter came up for hearing on Wednesday.
A number of places in Pissurlem have been facing water shortage and Hanumant Parab, a social activist from the area, had filed a petition in the high court accusing authorities of negligence.
Following directives from the high court in an earlier hearing, PWD officials had conducted an inspection of the affected areas and had submitted a report to the high court on Wednesday.
The advocates present on behalf of the government also submitted an affidavit stating that water would be supplied to the affected houses by April 10.
