Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has been caught telling lies once again and this time by the Central Empowered Committee set up by the Supreme Court before which the Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd very succinctly admitted that the double-tracking of the South Western Railway track is to transport coal said Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Sandesh Telekar.
He pointed out that while hearing the petition filed before the Supreme Court, the Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd clearly stated that the double-tracking of South Western Railway is to transport coal and iron ore.
He reminded Goans that Sawant had recently announced that coal transportation from Mormugao Port Trust would be reduced and further asserted that double-tracking of the railway line was not for coal transportation.
“However, the Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has nailed Sawant’s lie as it has very clearly informed the Supreme Court that the double-tracking is for coal transportation,” he said and further revealed that the Supreme Court committee noted that there is hardly any iron ore being transported at the moment.
He disclosed that Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd had said that crores of rupees have been invested in double-tracking the railway track since it is in national interest and the Supreme Court committee very emphatically asked it what was the purpose of the project and what was the justification for it.
AAP while asking the chief minister to desist from lying henceforth also cautioned Goans that Sawant will ultimately kill the tourism industry which has at present emerged as the mainstay of Goan economy.
“The BJP will be responsible for destroying the Goan economy as Sawant is killing tourism industry and no tourist will come to Goa that is filled with coal and “Green Goa” will be a myth in a few years if it turned into “Black Goa”, he said.
“BJP is continuing to rule Goa only based on lies, telling lies and indulging in falsehoods all the time,” he said while emphasising that Goans are smart enough to know how and when to teach such liars a befitting lesson.
