Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said "the people of Goa deserve better..." in reaction to the law and order situation in the State following the brutal daylight assault on social activist Rama Kankonkar.
The former Delhi Chief Minister took to the micro-blogging site 'X' to express shock over the assault and highlight the failure of law and order in the State.
"Shocked to hear about the brutal assault on social activist Rama Kankonkar in broad daylight. Gang wars, drugs, harassment of women and now this assault — show a complete failure of the law and order machinery under BJP in Goa," Kejriwal said in his X post. "The people of Goa deserve better," he added.
Meanwhile, Congress's Goa desk in-charge Manikrao Thakare also condemned the incident and called it the "collapse of democracy in Goa."
